On June 24, the preparatory meeting for the 2026 Consumer Electronics Innovation Congress (CEIC 2026) was held at the Shenzhen Civic Center. The meeting brought together innovative enterprises and representatives of international standards and industry organizations from frontier sectors including communications, semiconductors, embodied intelligence, digital health, the low-altitude economy, and ultra-high-definition audio-visual technology. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on four core topics: industry-trend forecasting, the implementation of new-technology ecosystems, the design of the parallel forum framework, and the planning of signature events. Attendees reached a unified consensus on new trends in the consumer electronics industry under the comprehensive drive of artificial intelligence. Enterprise representatives shared insights based on their commercial practices across different technology domains, providing practical references for the top-level planning and content delivery of this annual innovation gathering.
Sun Huaqing, Deputy Director of the International Center for Economic and Technical Cooperation, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), noted that China's consumer electronics industry urgently needs to build a world-class, domestic flagship event, and CEIC is one of the carriers of this mission. He emphasized that CEIC should continue to focus on innovative technologies, standards integration, and ecosystem co-construction; start with a "small but refined" and "small but elegant" approach to build a premium event; and consolidate industry consensus. He encouraged core members to continually bring new ideas and viewpoints, and to jointly showcase new products and achievements on the CEIC platform, telling China's consumer electronics innovation story well.
Yang Tao, Executive Deputy Director of the CEIC Organizing Committee, chaired the meeting. He noted that in 2026, artificial intelligence has become the unified core theme of consumer electronics exhibitions worldwide. Leveraging Shenzhen's complete electronics industry cluster, CEIC is positioned around a "new generation of root technology clusters," forming a full-chain showcase system that spans chips, operating systems, new materials, terminal products, and scenario-based services.
Fan Chen, Vice President of Fourier Intelligence, said the company has provided robotics technology services and one-stop application solutions covering product deployment, professional training, and department operations for more than 2,000 hospitals and institutions globally. He noted that CEIC 2026 will host a dedicated parallel forum, linking robotics, smart home, and digital health enterprises to build a complete scenario demonstration — a key platform for embodied health and elder-care technology to move from the laboratory to large-scale commercial use.
Hu Bin, Director of Government and Enterprise Affairs at iFLYTEK, noted that the company hosts the National Engineering Research Center for Cognitive Intelligence; its iFLYREC product series has supported major projects including the NPC & CPPCC Two Sessions and CNPC. Going forward, the company will leverage general AI to build a multilingual, multimodal smart-office gateway.
Li Niejun, CMO of Zero Gravity Aircraft Industry, stated that the company is currently the only domestic OEM developing both eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing) and eCTOL (electric conventional take-off and landing) aircraft in parallel for the new-energy manned aviation sector. The company is working with local governments to build a "Green Aviation Flight Camp," planning to accumulate operating data through low-altitude tourism scenarios and gradually expand into applications such as urban public transportation. He noted that the dedicated low-altitude economy zone at CEIC 2026 provides an important platform for low-altitude enterprises to engage with consumer-end audiences and connect with the industry ecosystem, helping low-altitude flight move from closed pilot programs to mainstream consumer markets.
Zhang Wengang, Secretary-General of the UHD World Association (UWA), said the UWA has always driven the industry through innovation, which is highly aligned with CEIC's theme "Love Innovation, Embrace Infinity." Vivid technology has been adopted by international standards bodies including the ITU. In the automotive sector, large-scale commercial deployment has been achieved; to date, new energy vehicles equipped with Vivid technology are projected to ship more than 2 million units. Group procurement of UHD channels and set-top boxes has also been rolled out at scale. Looking toward the projected 7.8 trillion yuan UHD industry by 2030, UWA — driven by innovation and connected by intelligence — will participate deeply in CEIC 2026 with its latest achievements, advancing China's proprietary audio-video standards toward global leadership.
In the in-depth discussion session, participating enterprise representatives reached several points of consensus on the exhibition strategy, industry collaboration, and platform development of CEIC 2026.
On exhibition strategy, representatives suggested that CEIC integrate exhibitors along the upstream-and-downstream value chain, which would not only help enterprise executives grasp the industry as a whole but also enhance the overall value of attendance, while strengthening inter-enterprise collaboration to align with both manufacturing and future application needs.
On industry collaboration and platform development, representatives proposed that CEIC promote deep coordination between standards organizations and the industry, providing innovative enterprises with a showcase window and growth opportunities. At the same time, CEIC should actively attract overseas enterprises to launch new products in China, fully demonstrating the scale and vitality of the Chinese consumer electronics market and helping enterprises achieve real commercial success and growth.
The meeting finalized the theme of CEIC 2026 and its full event matrix, forming an integrated framework of "Exhibition + Thematic Summit + Parallel Forums + Industry Networking." Centered on root technologies, CEIC 2026 will focus on five infrastructure pillars — semiconductor chips, computing power, operating systems, new networks, and green sustainability — to bring innovative consumer electronics technologies to the global market.
Exhibitor registration is now fully open, with a registration deadline of September 5, 2026. Companies may complete exhibitor and sponsorship inquiries through the official website, phone, or email.
